The Hangar 9 has brought live music to the Carbondale area for nearly 30 years. Originally conceived as a small neighborhood tavern with one, maybe two, TV’s, the Hangar 9 quickly evolved into the hub of the live music scene. Fueled by the energy of live performers, the Hangar 9 keeps Carbondale’s Strip rockin’ and rollin’ and Southern Illinois University at the top of the charts as a fun place to live, study and party.
